Meeting 08 Jun 2011 Report

Simon Mendelawitz – gave a most interesting presentation on Planning and Walking the Bibbulmum Track (BT) and Cape to Cape (CC). Major points were:
• The Track was first used by Bush walkers in about 1970 and has grown in popularity in the past 10 years
• A large volunteer force help to maintain the track and facilities (Mainly Huts for overnight stay)
• Track runs from Perth to Albany and walkers should plan to complete this in daily 20 KM stages
• Graeme and his wife completed the walk and found it to be an inspirational experience. They also become very fit as a result. In addition; they met some great people on the walk. .
• They have since started their own company “Inspirational Out Doors” which provides people with the opportunity to participate in a guided tour of the BT and the CC (Gentle participation with overnight accommodation.
Most interesting and enthusiastic talk.
